NEW - IFA DUELING
Have you ever wanted tp square off against your friends in a dueling match? ever wanted to hold a blade in your hand and have a real lefe sword fight?
Here is your opportunity to do so. for $50 per pair, IFA will provide you with all necessary equipment to spar. Sessions are 30 minutes long and by appointment only. Call today to schedule floor time!
Fun Fencing
Program name speaks for itself – participants will play fencing games and do balloon fencing – 40 minute class full of fun.
Recreational Fencing
40 minute class led by one of our experienced fencers or entry level coaches. No drills or focus on techniques. Basic training and
non-competitive fencing provided during the class.
GROUP CLASSES
YOUTH INTRO CLASS (ages 4-7) starts September and runs in two month blocks. This class, formerly mini-musketeers, is for pre-schoolers, Kindergarteners and 1st Graders who love to leap over furniture at home and pretend to be Jedi Knights! Using plastic foils, practice vests, and light-weight masks, the structured fencing class teaches a new skill every other week, with repetition of skills emphasized. Fencing games are incorporated into each lesson. This fun class meets once a week for 45 minutes. Leave the light sabres at home . . . Equipment is provided! The fencing group class consists of a warm-up, fencing footwork, structured fencing games, and bouting time. Sportsmanship is emphasized.
BEGINNER CLASS (ages 7-14)
A one hour class for students who have participated in the Intro Program or have less than one year of fencing experience. This class covers footwork, basic technique skills, bouting tactics, sport etiquette, and sportsmanship. Equipment is provided during first month of the program.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS (ages 9-16)
A one or one and a half hour class for students who have participated in the Beginners Class and have less than one year of fencing experience. This class covers footwork, intemediate technique skills, bouting tactics, sport etiquette, and sportsmanship. Classes incorporate electrical bouting
COMPETITIVE CLASS
A class for youth, cadet, and junior fencers who have at least one year competitive experience with fencing. Fencers in this class are annual members, take individual lessons, train two-three times a week, have their own electric and protective gear, and compete regularly in local to national events.
YOUNG ADULT CLASS (ages 18 and up)
Young Adult Class is designed for both beginners with little or no experience in fencing and experienced fencers who are looking to get back into the sport. We provide the equipment. (Equipment is available for purchase as well.) All weapons are covered.
ADULT CLASS (Age 25 and up)
Same as Young Adult Class, except for different age group.
Private Lessons
